Welcome to our page, we are the Nunes family and we live in Scotland. We first began prayerfully considering ministry here back in 2019, when we were approached about the need for healthy churches in Scotland. This might seem a bit ironic given the thousands of beautiful churches scattered throughout Scotland, ranging from wee chapels nestled along the farming hillsides to the ornate city cathedrals built during the medieval era. However, a recent study revealed that only 7.2% of Scotland’s population regularly attends church.

We didn’t come here because we felt that it was up to us to single handedly save Christianity in Scotland or to raise the number of churchgoers for the sake of higher percentages. We came because our passion is Jesus.

We recognize that we live in a world overwhelmed by hurt, betrayal, injustice, and brokenness. This is the pain that our world endures as the cost of sin; a price that we all experience as we navigate this life. Inevitably the weight of our sins and the sins of others leave us all wounded, each in different areas and different ways, but the unavoidable truth is that we live in a broken world full of broken people.

Jesus came into this world of brokenness as one of us, lived among us, and offered Himself as a sacrifice in our place; He made a way to Himself for us. Through His life, death, and resurrection, we are not only given access to life after death with Jesus but also a life on earth at peace and in harmony with our Creator.

Our passion is Jesus because we’ve personally experienced the Light in the darkness of our own lives. We’ve watched Jesus take our pain, our ashes, and our damaged places, and bring healing, wholeness, and beauty in their stead.

It’s not about percentages and ratios, it’s about people. Jesus is a personal and relational God. In His ministry that would change the world for all of eternity, He redeemed lives one at a time. In this broken world, Jesus is our hope. Here, in Scotland and globally, there is a desperate need for the hope found only in Jesus Christ. And we desire to see others encounter His life-changing, transformative love.

We want to thank all of you who have been supporting us and praying for us in both this venture and from day one. We are grateful to you all.
